The surroundings are also ideal for those who wish to spend the winter immersed in nature, with winter walks, snowshoe excursions and cross-country skiing. The Eisack valley offers altogether 24 cross-country ski trails with an overall length of some 240 km. All are surrounded by beautiful landscapes, excellently prepared and with guaranteed snow. In 15-30 minutes by car from Natz you can reach some 12 trails of different lengths and degrees of difficulty in the Meransen-Gitschberg region, around Brixen and its holiday villages, around Klausen and the Dolomites of the Eisack valley and in the Villnöss valley. Most trails have winter walks running alongside them.
